Patients of Anchor Health’s Cardiac Risk Reduction Center (CRRC) routinely discover Collier County’s most comprehensive risk reduction program and a clear path to a healthy lifestyle. While early disease detection and state-of-the-art technologies and services are important, Anchor’s CRRC puts a premium on proactive evaluation, prevention, education, and effective treatment. This is done in partnership with our patient.
The Center is led by Dr. John R. Diaz, Board Certified in Family Medicine, backed by a highly professional staff of cardiovascular risk reduction trained clinical staff.
Our on-site physicians work collaboratively to identify and address specific risk factors that can lead to blockages in the heart, brain and other blood vessels before they occur. In cases where an event has occurred, our aim is reduce the probability of a recurrence. CRRC, when indicated integrates the expertise of of Board Certified cardiologist and vascular surgeons
Those with a strong family history of cardiovascular disease or who suffer from diabetes, high cholesterol, obesity, nicotine addiction, chronic anxiety or elevated blood pressure are particularly at risk for heart disease. Who comes to Anchor CRRC?
Patients are generally referred to CRRC by their physicians in order to identify and manage risk factors for cardiovascular disease in order help patients achieve treatment goals. The patient’s primary care physician is key to this process and has ongoing knowledge of all treatment and recommendations. Your stay may be as brief as one visit or include multiple visits depending on the complexity of your condition(s) or the instructions from your primary care physician.
Medicare and standard medical insurance do cover this service. In some cases, there may be specialized testing not covered. If these tests are required, they will be fully explained.
