Diaper dermatitis
A rash anywhere in the groin region or gluteal folds of the buttocks that may become infected with bacteria or yeast. Symptoms include patches of reddened skin that may contain fluid and pustules.
Gastroenteritis
A syndrome of vomiting and diarrhea that may cause dehydration and electrolyte imbalance evidenced by diarrhea, vomiting, dehydration, lethargy, anorexia, weight loss, fever and decreased urination.
Infectious Diseases
Common infectious diseases include chickenpox, Measles, Rubella (German Measles), Whooping Cough (Pertussis), Influenza and Diphtheria. These diseases have a range of symptoms, from mild to severe skin irritations, severe cough, fever and dehydration.
Pinworms
Pinworms are small worms that infest the large intestine. Symptoms include irritation of the anal region and allergic skin reaction.
Eczema
Skin inflammation resulting from allergies and irritatants in the form of vesicles, redness, oozing, crusting, scaling and itching.
Strep Throat
Strep is a severe throat infection caused by the Streptococcus genus of bacteria that causes red, sore throat and pustules and is generally accompanied by a high fever.
