The board certified surgeons of Anchor Health Centers Vascular Surgery department bring additional training in peripheral vascular disease to provide the most specialized and comprehensive care in Southwest Florida. Our range of surgical treatments include:
Endovascular Interventions
Life threatening vascular disease is fought with endovascular intervention techniques such as balloon angioplasty, stent implantation, atherectomy, endografting, laser angioplasty, and thrombolysis. These evolving treatments repair the vascular damage from within.
Peripheral Vascular Surgery
Peripheral Vascular Surgery encompasses the treatment of artery and vein disorders outside the heart and lungs. Common examples of peripheral vascular disease include blocked carotid (neck) and leg arteries, aneurysms of the aorta, and varicose veins. At present both conventional (open) surgery and minimally invasive approaches (angioplasty and stents) are offered for the treatment of peripheral vascular disease.
